We were staying in a new hotel which was right at the lake's edge. Unfortunately because of my recent accident I was unable to test the waters since the wound was still healing. In any event, it was an idyllic spot for a retreat, .... The road is quite flat until you get about 30 km past Ananuri when it begins to climb and wind up to Guldari. Past Guldari it goes through the mountains and the pavement is in very poor condition. I would not do it on good wheels ? more ...
